Nutrition Client Spotlight – Danielle
Last May I started to feel symptoms of extreme joint pain, from my neck all the way down to the arches in my feet. In October I was diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis, an inflammatory arthritis caused by psoriasis. After being stable for a few months with medication, Aubree brought to me the AID program and thought I should give it a try. Of course, I wanted to lose weight with the program, but longer term I wanted to learn what triggers my arthritis, as well as how to make healthier choices on a day to day basis.
I have been training with Aubree for 3 years now, and she’s been on this entire journey with me. From pre-arthritis days of lifting heavy and having mobility. To the days I could barely walk and hold a 5-pound weight. Through the changes we have made with my diet, it’s incredible to see how much of my strength and mobility back.
I think the most important thing that I’ve achieved with this program is being able to be a 25-year-old again. The chronic pain that was present in all of my joints has dropped dramatically from all of the changes that we made. As well as the physical swelling that occurred in all of my joints. Being consistent, and being accountable for what I am eating, have really helped me reach a consistency where I am not only dependable on medication to feel better.
