Group Fitness Member of the Month: Melissa!
Congratulations to our Group Fitness Member of the Month, Melissa!
I have been with Jada Blitz Fitness for a year and a half. I joined Jada Blitz because my previous gym had shut down. I had taken classes with Alex at that gym for many years and after my gym closed, I felt like something was missing in my life.
MY GOALS & BECOMING A GROUP FITNESS MEMBER:
My initial goals when joining Jada Blitz was to tone back up and to increase my muscle and cardiovascular strength for running.
I enjoy Group Fitness Classes because of the accountability that I have when attending. I attend with friends and having someone care if I am there or not motivates me to attend, even on days when I’d rather be napping! I enjoy Alex’s classes because she pushes me to work hard and not give up. I have grown so much in my strength and fitness level since I began taking classes with her. Alex is always very positive and energizing and I love that about her.
I look forward to my Group Fitness Classes each week. They are beneficial not only for my physical health, but also my mental and emotional health. It’s hard to be stressed out when you are working out. I always feel better after class is over.
Alex’s classes have taught me that I am stronger than I think I am. Whether working out at the gym, or running in my neighborhood, I hear Alex’s words of wisdom in my head: “You can do anything for one minute, Melissa!” “You are strong!” Her words and friendship has gotten me through some tough runs, tough classes, and tough days.
ADVICE FOR ANYONE THINKING ABOUT TRYING A GROUP FITNESS CLASS:
What do you have to lose? Give it a shot! There are so many options with both classes and instructors. You are bound to find something you enjoy and get healthier in the process. You may even make some lasting friendships along the way. Group Fitness is great for those who need accountability and have a little bit of a competitive streak (like I do) because seeing others work hard makes me work harder.
MEET ALEX WITHEE, GROUP FITNESS INSTRUCTOR AT JADA BLITZ FITNESS
I have been teaching at Jada since January 2020 and Melissa has been taking class with me for many years.
Melissa is a motivated member. She always comes to class with a positive attitude and great energy. Melissa pushes herself in class and encourages other members.
When there is a new member who has joined the class, she helps them feel included and is their biggest cheerleader.
Melissa takes class seriously, challenges herself with new choreography, and pushes herself to continue to build strength. Melissa is a joy to have in class!
