Team Jada Blitz Teams Up With The Erie County SPCA For Paws In The Park 2017

For the second year in a row, Jada Blitz Training will be a named sponsor of the Erie County SPCA’s longest-running fundraiser, Paws In The Park. In 2016, our team–with the help of our clients, gym members and community–were able to raise over $1,000 in charitable funds to our local shelter through this event.

This year’s event has currently opened registration and will be held on September 23 at Beaver Island State Park. Participants will have the opportunity to interact with over fifty pet-related vendors and exhibitors, dog contests, an agility course (for the dogs), and fun for children and adults alike. There will also be a scenic two mile walk through the park and lunch to follow.

Every dollar raised will help provide continued care to nearly 12,000 homeless pets and wildlife annually, animals that are counting on us to be their voice. What you may not know is that the SPCA does not receive any funding from the county, city, state, or federal governments. As a humane society the SPCA does not receive tax dollars of any kind either, leaving it to the local community to assist in funding them with donations.  Through programs that include adoptions; admissions; rescues; emergency transports; lost & found services; animal cruelty investigations & seizures; and much more; the SPCA has proactively addressed the current status of animals in our community through education, rescue and sheltering, and placement of animals into appropriate homes.

We would like to welcome you, your family and friends to join our official PAWS 2017 team as we work toward raising awareness and funds for the SPCA serving Erie County. Details regarding team sign ups, fundraisers, charitable donation purchases, and future involvement will be available soon.  There will be plenty of opportunities to participate with us as we work toward beating last year’s donation total!

Official Jada Blitz pet scarves are for sale at the front desk area for $7.00 – we will be putting $2.00 from every purchase into our PAWS fund.  We have also teamed up with Fetch! Gourmet Treats.  We will be retailing their gourmet dog treats and all profits will also go the PAWS fund.

Stay tuned to our upcoming social media photo contest making all submissions of your pet rocking our scarf eligible for free personal training sessions, should your photo be picked! We will also be hosting a variety of charitable donation group fitness classes between July and September, selling an official PAWS inspired protein drink at our shake bar, launching our team Facebook page, and much more.
