Client of The Week: Sarah!

 In Client of the Week

Congratulations to our Client of the Week, Sarah!

I joined Jada Blitz in June of 2022 when I was hired as Brand Manager. I had been wanting to work with a trainer for some time before coming to Jada, but never knew where to start. It felt like fate when I was hired and after 2 months here, I decided it was finally time to get started on my fitness journey. This led me to Liv.

MY GOALS & BECOMING A PERSONAL TRAINING CLIENT

For as long as I can remember, I’ve received comments on my body for being skinny. While I know these things were said with good intentions, it always made me extremely uncomfortable and I never knew how to respond. I think everyone assumed I was happy with my body because of my weight, but that couldn’t have been farther from the truth.

My initial goals were to gain weight, gain muscle, and become more confident with my look. Since working with Liv, I’ve definitely noticed the changes in my body. I now feel the strongest and healthiest I’ve ever been. I’m even starting to like the way I look in certain clothing. My current goal is to have a better mindset when going into our workouts. Liv reminds me of mind over matter and I want to work on entering each session with a positive attitude.

Liv made me feel very comfortable from the start and we were able to relate because of our dance backgrounds. The more we got to know each other, the closer we got. It’s very easy to have a conversation with her and because of this, our sessions fly by. Liv is constantly changing our workouts to keep them fresh and exciting. She also pushes me farther than I ever thought possible. I tell Liv all the time that I would never be able to do this without her. I love training because of the accountability it brings and as much as I complain during our sessions, I always leave feeling 1000x’s better.

A few weeks into training, Liv asked if there was anything she could help me with in terms of marketing. Since then, she has been assisting with the social media and it has been great! She reminds me a lot of myself when I was her age because she is always looking for more work. Our sessions are always full of laughs and fun conversations. I appreciate that Liv is able to separate our marketing time together from our workout time together.

Not only do I admire Liv’s work ethic, but her love for cooking and nutrition is so inspiring to me (her lunch always looks so yummy!). After getting pretty dizzy post leg days, Liv was quick to give me pointers on what I should be eating, how much I should be eating, and even passed along some of her favorite recipes. I’m happy to say the dizziness stopped, and I now have a better relationship with planning my weekly meals!

I’m very grateful this job has brought me to Liv. She is not only my trainer & my assistant, she has become a good friend of mine and I love our relationship as the Twins of Jada!

ADVICE FOR ANYONE THINKING ABOUT TRYING PERSONAL TRAINING

I was always someone who was afraid to go to the gym alone. Having a trainer right by your side helps you forget there are other people in the gym. A trainer knows your limits but also knows how hard you can be pushed- even when you don’t think you are capable. There really is no harm in giving it a try.

THE FACILITY & STAFF

Everyone here is family. I am so grateful for the relationships I’ve formed since starting here. Working out at Jada is so comforting because you see all the other clients with their trainers and are reminded that everyone is essentially here for the same reason. Brandi’s Cycle class kicks my butt and she always has the best messages to share which also help to boost my confidence.

One last note I want to add: My favorite weekly task is reading through the Client of the Week posts. There are so many different people and stories here at Jada. It’s so inspiring to read through the goals that were met and the challenges that were overcome!”

FITNESS IS UNDEFINED. WHAT’S YOUR FIT?

Proving to myself that I CAN.

MEET OLIVIA BARONE, CPT AT JADA BLITZ FITNESS

My experience training with Sarah has been better than I could imagine. She started with me a year ago in hopes to grow muscle before her wedding day in October. I knew right away that she was going to be a long term client by the way we clicked instantly. Just like our curly brown hair, leggings and black tees, retired dancers etc., we have very similar personalities that mesh so well.

My favorite memory working with Sarah has to be all the times she underestimates her strength and I prove to her she can sumo squat the 100lbs, or deadlift 115 with ease. She may not enjoy it but I sure enjoy watching her reaction when she does hit the new PR.

I enjoy pushing Sarah to new limits that she didn’t know she was capable of. She is an extremely hard worker. Not only is Sarah a client but she has become such a dear friend. I love the bond fitness brought us.

Sarah’s progress has grown so much over the last year, she has gained strength not only physically but mentally as well. She lifts with confidence and her form has become such a key piece in this growth.
Not only do I enjoy training Sarah but I have become her Social Media Assistant as well in creating content for the brand. Our creative minds coming together has been so enjoyable and something I look forward to daily.
