Client of The Week: Rich!

 In Client of the Week

Congratulations to our Client of the Week, Rich!

I have been coming to Jada Blitz for about five months now. After having to take two years off due to a spinal cord injury, I was finally able to start working out again. I used to come to Jada several years ago and knew that Gaige was the best, so I decided to join again.

MY GOALS & BECOMING A PERSONAL TRAINING CLIENT

Initially, my goals were to build back muscle and get my body fat between 18-20%. My current goals remain the same, but with more emphasis on consistency with all the life changes that I have made since coming back.

Working with Gaige has been amazing!! He knows how to work around any issues that come up with my Rheumatoid Arthritis. Gaige motivates me on each and every visit. I look forward to seeing him because he helps me get re-energized.

One funny memory we have together is when I picked up someone else’s water and took a bug gulp before realizing it wasn’t mine. I immediately spit it out in the garbage. The look on Gaige’s face was priceless and we both cracked up laughing.

Gaige is the best trainer that I have ever worked with. I truly look forward to coming to the gym now. In fact, I crave it! Gaige helped me to break through my lifelong tendencies to stop when I get to “good enough”. Now, I push my limits! Thanks Gaige!

FITNESS IS UNDEFINED. WHAT’S YOUR FIT?

Honestly I just want to look and feel my best. The health benefits that come with it have been the cream for me.

MEET GAIGE HOOT, CPT AT JADA BLITZ FITNESS

Training with Rich has been a great experience. He arrives early, does his warmups, and appreciates what it means to not just exercise strenuously, but to exercise intelligently. Having pre-existing conditions can make a fitness journey bumpy or stressful, but through education, dedication, and perseverance, one can really minimize the trouble it can bring when working towards their fitness goals. Even if Rich isn’t feeling 100% for a session, he gives 100%, and that’s what makes all the difference.

Two memories come to mind with Rich, the first is when I saw him in the lobby after not seeing him for a few years, since the old location. When he told me his story, I truly felt like I was the trainer for him. I told him unprompted, “Hey, I think my background and focus of training can really help you, and we should train together”. It might have been the very next day, he approached me at the desk was ready to jump right in to the schedule and get this show on the road. The second fun memory is when he accidentally took a giant gulp of someone else’s identical water bottle. I turned around for one second, looked back, and there he was spitting it all out. I was like “what the heck are you doing dude?! Lol”

I think one of the most enjoyable things about working with Rich is how hard he works. I find myself having to constantly increase the weight or make the movement harder, simply because he’s always trying so hard to push himself to the point where sometimes even I can’t keep up. Drop sets, failure sets, supersets, you name it-he’s ready for it. He brings a fast paced energy to the session that makes the time fly by with every visit.
