Client of The Week: Paula!
Congratulations to our Client of the Week, Paula !
I have been at Jada Blitz since January. My physical therapist suggested the club because he heard they have excellent trainers.
As a recovering cancer patient who had three abdominal surgeries and many chemotherapy sessions, I needed to completely rebuild my body. My rehab began with Physical Therapy and today I have graduated to working with Anthony, my Personal Trainer.
I was intimidated and hesitant in joining a gym after what I had been through. However, during the consultation I quickly realized Anthony’s knowledge of the human body and he gave me confidence that I could do this.
MY GOALS & BECOMING A PERSONAL TRAINING CLIENT
My initial goals were to build strength, stand up straight, work on my balance and achieve a healthy weight. I can happily say that we have now achieved these goals and are continuing to build my strength. We are currently building core strength as well!
My training experience with Anthony has been great. In our initial session, Anthony had me try many different exercises to get a baseline of my strength.
Anthony is very patient with me. I appreciate that he always shows an exercise to me and clearly explains it before I start. He also makes sure I am challenged but not to a level of injury.
What I like most about working with Anthony is his dedication to my goals. I feel he is mindful of my goals and pushes me that little extra bit to reach them. With Anthony, you can expect a very focused and methodical approach to your workout based on your overall health goals and physical ability.
We also have conversations about nutrition. Anthony will ask “so how are you doing with your protein intake?”. I like when he checks in on that because it helps me stay mindful and accountable to eat well.
My favorite memory with Anthony includes the days he tells me “you had a win today, look how far you’ve come” then a high five.
A valuable lesson worth sharing is to always have the correct form before starting an exercise so you get the most benefit from that movement.
ADVICE FOR ANYONE THINKING ABOUT TRYING PERSONAL TRAINING
Do it! Make exercise part of your routine, never compromise your health! Having a personal trainer will hold you accountable so you can achieve this.
