Client of The Week: Morgan!

 In Client of the Week

Congratulations to our Client of the Week, Morgan!

I started with Jada Blitz at the end of September 2022. I had seen photos of the gym on social media and loved how modern and well equipped it appeared so I decided to do a walkthrough visit and loved it even more in person.

My fitness journey first began in 2017 when I started going to a commercial gym. At the time, I had no idea what I was doing and was mostly following pre-set online workout plans. Over the years I tried a few different “online challenges” and continued to work on form on my own. Through trial and error, I developed some confidence in a few different exercises and would do them religiously, but this year I really wanted to push myself out of my comfort zone which led me to Jada Blitz and personal training.

MY GOALS & BECOMING A PERSONAL TRAINING CLIENT

Initially, my goals were to build a consistent routine, increase my confidence in movements I felt unsure about, and work on reducing my ever consistent gym anxiety. Though I think all three of those goals will be with me for years to come, within the 7 months I’ve been working with Ben, I have made more progress towards them than I had in 4 years of trying to achieve them on my own!

With Bens help I’ve developed more specific goals which currently consist of increasing my squat and deadlift max and being able to do a pull-up. Prior to working with Ben I could only do a few shaky squats at 95lbs and now that’s one of my warm up sets!

Training with Ben has been the best experience I could have asked for. He is friendly, knowledgeable, professional, and has helped build my confidence in myself and the gym so much. I’m lifting consistently more weight in quite literally every exercise in my routine because of his encouragement and training. I’m also no longer afraid to push myself to failure or test out a max lift. He makes training fun and enjoyable while still helping me achieve my goals.

One of the reasons working with Ben has been so helpful is because of the cues he gives. I always had a hard time with mind to muscle connection but I’ve noticed a big improvement with that since working with Ben. He also taught me how to properly brace and engage my core which is something I had been trying to learn on my own with little success prior to Jada Blitz.

What I’ve enjoyed most about training with Ben is how much confidence he has helped me develop in the gym. He does an incredible job of knowing just how hard and far to push me out of my comfort zone all while laughing and joking along the way.One of my favorite memories with Ben was when I finally got 135lb for my squat. It felt like such an unachievable goal for me for so long so that was a really special day!

My biggest lesson has been to really trust myself and my body. I often second guess myself on if I’m doing an exercise right or if a movement looks off but I feel much more secure in my routine now that I trust myself and the things I’ve learned from Ben.

ADVICE FOR ANYONE THINKING ABOUT TRYING PERSONAL TRAINING

Just do it! I felt I had to look a certain way or be able to lift a certain amount before I joined this gym/personal training but that couldn’t be further from the truth. Jada Blitz and the staff has been welcoming in every way.

THE FACILITY & STAFF

The staff at Jada Blitz are incredibly friendly. Even during the early morning hours you’re always met with a smiling face!

FITNESS IS UNDEFINED. WHAT’S YOUR FIT?

Fitness is intentionally and mindfully showing up for myself.

MEET BEN BAILEY, CPT AT JADA BLITZ FITNESS

Morgan and I have been training together for a little over 7 months. We tend to have a fun time during our sessions, and Morgan very rarely shows up without an interesting story to share.

Morgan has made tremendous growth in the strength of both her body and mind. When we first started training, there were some perceived barriers about what she believed she could and couldn’t do in the gym. Since then, Morgan has cultivated a confidence in the gym that is truly admirable.

I really appreciate Morgan’s commitment to her health & well-being, showing up for herself even on days when we are not training together. I’m grateful for the friendship Morgan and I have developed, and it continues to be a pleasure training with her.
