Client of The Week: Ashley!
Congratulations to our Client of the Week, Ashley!
I am a Group Fitness Instructor and started at Jada Blitz Fitness back in 2020, and let me tell you, it’s been quite the ride! Before that, I’d try out various studios across WNY. But I gotta say, none of them felt quite like home or had that ‘family vibe’ I was craving.
Not only is it my absolute favorite place to work, but it’s also my go-to workout destination. It’s got all the ingredients for a fantastic fitness journey, and I’m here for it.
MY GOALS & BECOMING A PERSONAL TRAINING CLIENT
I began training with Ben back in March because I recognized the importance of having a dedicated support system when pursuing my goals. Personal Training has been instrumental in pushing me beyond my comfort zone.
My primary objectives were to build strength and enhance my confidence in exercising. I set out on this Personal Training journey with one clear goal in mind: I wanted more upper body strength. And let me tell you, I’m feeling so “lifted” by the progress I’ve made!
Well, my current goal is to achieve a “big big booty” – because, let’s face it, who doesn’t want that extra “umph” in their stride, right? I’ve recently fallen in love with lifting, something I’ve never really delved into before. It’s not just the physical changes I’m seeing, but also the newfound confidence I’ve gained. I mean, it’s like I’ve unlocked my inner superhero, one squat at a time!
Training with Ben is fun! I seriously look forward to every session with him. His approach is like a finely tuned GPS for my fitness journey. He knows exactly when to hit the gas and push me to the max, but he’s also got this magical “pivot” button for those days when I feel like a sloth in sneakers. Training with Ben is not just a workout; it’s an adventure in fun and fitness!
Ben is an absolute fitness guru. He knows his stuff. I’m constantly learning new things from him. It’s like I’ve got this treasure trove of knowledge that I can sprinkle into my own fitness classes. So, thanks to Ben, I’m not only improving my own journey, but I’m also spreading the wisdom he’s passed on to me to help others on their fitness adventures!
When it comes to training with Ben, several memories come to mind. However, one memory that truly stands out happened on a particularly tough day. I was on the verge of canceling our evening session because my day had been, to put it bluntly, pretty awful. Ben, being the incredible trainer he is, suggested that I come in anyway, but with a twist – he switched up our workout to a more rejuvenating, restorative style.
That session turned out to be exactly what I needed. If I had been on my own, I probably would have just headed home, but Ben’s guidance made all the difference. It made me realize that those are the moments that truly matter in our fitness journey. It’s easy to stay on track when everything is going well, but it’s during the tough times that maintaining our routine becomes critical. Ben’s support on that day was a game-changer, and it’s a testament to the incredible partnership we’ve built together.
ADVICE FOR ANYONE THINKING ABOUT TRYING PERSONAL TRAINING
Oh, without a doubt, my advice is: “Do it, and do it now!”
As a fellow group trainer at Jada Blitz, I’m all for you showing up to our fantastic group classes. They’re a blast! But if you’ve got specific goals or you’re ready to level up your fitness game, personal training is like adding extra sprinkles to your workout cupcake – it’s an absolute must!
I get it; you might be wondering about time and cost concerns. Here’s the scoop: find the time, shuffle things around if you have to, and cut costs elsewhere if needed. Why? Because the return on investment in yourself is priceless, and you’ll see those results rolling in.
So, treat yourself like the VIP you are and invest in yourself – you’re worth every bit of it!
FITNESS IS UNDEFINED. WHAT’S YOUR FIT?
Fitness is like a personal masterpiece, and my ‘fit’ is the canvas on which I paint it. To me, fitness means feeling strong, energized, and capable in both body and mind. It’s about achieving a harmonious balance between physical health and mental well-being. Fitness is not just about looking good but feeling fantastic, both inside and out. It’s a journey of continuous improvement, where I push my limits, break boundaries, and discover new strengths I never knew I had. It’s a lifestyle that brings joy, vitality, and resilience.
So, my ‘fit’ is the ever-evolving masterpiece that represents my commitment to a healthier, happier, and more vibrant life.
MEET BEN BAILEY, CPT AT JADA BLITZ FITNESS
Working with Ashley over the past several months has been a very enjoyable experience. Ashley is genuinely one of the funniest people I’ve ever met, and our similar senses of humor make our sessions incredibly fun. Even at 7:30am, she always brings infectious enthusiasm with her to the gym.
When we initially started training, Ashley had a goal in mind of improving her upper body strength. She’s made incredible progress in developing strength since we’ve started & has added a great deal of muscle along the way.
I selected Ashley for Client of the Week because of her strong commitment to her health & fitness goals. I’m grateful to call Ashley a client and friend, and it continues to be a pleasure training with her.
