Client of The Week: Angel!

Congratulations to our Client of the Week, Angel!

I have been with Jada Blitz for the last six months. I was interested in joining because not only was the location was very convenient for me, I was very impressed with the size of the gym as I wanted to exclusively focus on personal training.

MY GOALS & BECOMING A PERSONAL TRAINING CLIENT

My journey began on the scale. I wanted to focus on my health and the first step was achieving weight loss.

Originally, my goals were to lose weight while building muscle. I am currently 10% away from where I would ultimately like to land. Now that I have lost weight, I would like to focus more on muscle definition while decreasing my overall body fat.  When it comes to building muscle, I like to take the approach that it’s not a race, it’s a marathon.

Training with Whitney has been great! When I first started, we had no foundation so we found a baseline and built from there. Whitney has been patient, flexible, and keeps challenging my limits.

One memory we have is when I taught Whitney about the original series, Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. It was a humanitarian effort.

I’ve learned a lot from my experience so far with personal training. There were times that I felt unwell, tired, or sore but surprisingly, I still got through our workout and always felt better afterwards. I’ve learned to build a mental fortitude against the words “I can’t”. I’ve also learned to not be afraid of heavy weights and also to prioritize my diet.

ADVICE FOR ANYONE THINKING ABOUT TRYING PERSONAL TRAINING

Just do it! There is nothing negative about giving a session a try and deciding from there. You will find an area that a professional can identify that needs work and build from there. It’s a worthwhile investment in your overall health. For me, I needed the accountability and coaching from Whitney- it was a game changer.

FITNESS IS UNDEFINED. WHAT’S YOUR FIT?

My fit is getting stronger and feeling stronger. I can see how my body has changed as well as my confidence in trying new machines around the gym.

MEET WHITNEY GOSSEL, CPT AT JADA BLITZ FITNESS

Angel has been very dedicated to her goals and even hit the goal she set when we started training together back in April. Training with Angel is great because there is never a dull moment; she always has a  goofy or funny comment to make about every exercise we do.

Angel is easy to talk to, which makes our sessions very enjoyable. She has given me a lot of complimentary financial and investment advice which has been awesome; I appreciate her insight!  Angel has made working together easy because of her dedication to her extracurricular cardio and nutrition apart from our sessions.

I am super proud of Angel for hitting her goal! I also appreciate that going forward, she is longevity focused and is willing to put in the work to make her new habits stick long term.
